A very quiet morning begins today. You’ll have the chance to explore the city and its attractions. Cusco is also known as «the navel of the world» because of its importance as the capital of the Inca empire.  Temples, stone streets, colonial houses, colorful outfits, art galleries, museums and nice people will certainly delight you. During the morning we recommend you visit the San Blas District and be impressed by the cusquenian artisans.

In the morning, we will move to one of the communities in the Sacred Valley, Hayllafara (3200m, 20 min from Pisac), where you will be welcomed by the locals. Next we will discover a typical day work in the community. We will learn about their weaving techniques, their work on the lands, etc. Then we’ll enjoy a delicious menu based on organic products. We leave our friends from Huayllafara to visit the wonderful scenery of the Sacred Valley, home to several real properties of the Inca emperors. First, we visit the town of Pisac, famous for its Indian market and the beautiful Inca ruins overlooking the city. In the market, you will have the opportunity to appreciate the beautiful handicrafts, local fruits, vegetables and other natural products. After visiting Pisac, we enjoy a hearty lunch, based on a variety of products in the area. Then we visit the spectacular fortress of Ollantaytambo.
