Full Day Itinerary

Very early in the morning we will be picking you up from your hotel (about 3:00 am), in order to arrive in Pitumarca (travel time from Cusco to Pitumarca: 3 hours).

After having breakfast, we will provide you a small briefing regarding our tour day and then we’ll start our hike of 8 Km to reach the Rainbow Mountain. Fascinating landscapes will surprise us as well as the numerous Lamas and Alpacas that people raise in the highlands of Pitumarca.
After 3 hours of hiking we will reach the famous Rainbow Mountain (5300 meters above sea level), a geological formation that presents different colors (similar to the Rainbow) because of its mineral composition.
We recommend stay at the Rainbow Mountain about 30 minutes in order to take pictures and admire the landscape. After our experience in Vinicunca, we will have lunch and return to Cusco in the evening (about 7 pm).

This tour requires a good physical condition, so we highly recommend being fully acclimatized and take with you warm clothes, hiking shoes, gloves, a raincoat, sun block & glasses.
