the south of Cusco to challenge ourselves hiking over 5000
meters above sea level!

Day 1: Rainbow Mountain One Day Tour
Early in the morning we will be picking you up from
your hotel in order to reach the village of Cusipata
(travel time from Cusco: 3 hours). Then, we will
provide you a small briefing regarding our tour day
and then we’ll start our hike of 4 Km to reach the
Rainbow Mountain.
Fascinating landscapes will
surprise us as well as the numerous Lamas and Alpacas
that locals raise in the highlands. After 2 hours of
hiking we will reach the famous Rainbow Mountain (5200
meters above sea level), a geological formation that
presents different colors (similar to the Rainbow)
because of its mineral composition.
We recommend
staying in the Rainbow Mountain about 30 minutes in
order to take pictures and admire the landscape. After
our experience in Vinicunca, we will have
lunch and return to Cusco in the evening.
This
tour requires a good physical condition, so we highly
recommend being fully acclimatized and bring warm
clothes, hiking shoes, gloves, a raincoat, sun block &
glasses.
