How to Buy Machu Picchu Tickets Online in 2024
How much does the Machu Picchu ticket cost? How can I buy it? For many people, visiting Machu Picchu is a longed-for trip, so we would like to help you by providing you with updated information regarding the booking of Machu Picchu Tickets online.
Many sites talk about this topic but just a few will tell you about the new prices and rules for 2024.
Just a couple of months ago many people were so confused about booking their Machu Picchu Tickets through the official website (https://reservas.machupicchu.gob.pe/inicio). The system didn’t allow us to book tickets for 2024, however, we already know that tickets are available from December 2023 and hopefully we have now the certainty that our visit to Machu Picchu is guaranteed.
In this post, we show you the new rates to get your Machu Picchu Tickets as well as a useful guide for purchasing them online step-by-step!
MACHU PICCHU TICKET PRICING FOR 2024

IMPORTANT: During 2024, The hike to the Sun Gate will be closed until further notice.
2) Machu Picchu & Mountain (Montaña): This ticket provides entry to the Machu Picchu circuit 3 (see map at the end of the post) but also to climb the Mountain Machu Picchu(10 111 ft/3 082 m). Don’t get confused with the Huayna Picchu Mountain, the Montaña Machu Picchu is taller and less busy than the famous Huayna Picchu. 2-time slots are available, either at 6 a.m. or 8 a.m. Only 400 places are available every day. Ticket Cost 2024 => 200.00 soles (56.00 USD)
IMPORTANT: This is the only ticket that allows you to re-enter Machu Picchu citadel after having hiked the Machu Picchu mountain.
3) Machu Picchu & Huayna Picchu: This ticket provides entry to the famous Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu circuit 4 (see map at the end of the post). Yes! The same peak that you see in every postcard, the same one. However, notice that buying a ticket for Huayna Picchu must be done in advance since many people struggle for that ticket and only 200 places are available. 4-time slots are available; 7 am, 8 am, 9 am & 10 am. Our recommendation is to book it at least 3 months before. Ticket Cost 2023 => 200.00 soles (56.00 USD)

Circuit 4: This circuit also allows you to visit the lower part of Machu Picchu including the hike to Huayna Picchu or Huchuy Picchu.

Hello everyone,
I am a little bit confused about the situation. I bought tickets for Huchuy Picchu tickets + Circuit 4. Should I also buy a ticket for Machupicchu Llaqta?
I need to purchase a ticket for my friend but his passport is currently being renewed. Can I leave the passport field blank for now and fill it in when he receives his new passport?
Thank You
I was not taken to a payment window however I did receive confirmation of the registration via email. What do I do to pay for the reservation?
When I purchased the tickets ,it did not allow me to select a route . It just say 1,2,3 o 4. What does that mean?
Hello There,
We suggest that you select “Llaqta Machu Picchu 1,2,3,4”. It’s the most complete ticket that allows you to have a panoramic view of the citadel.
Hi,
Please, use the code you received in the email to make the payment. Remember that your reservation will expire within 3 hrs you received the email.
Why is the website https://reservas.machupicchu.gob.pe/inicio always offline? Thanks for your response..
Hello,
The site is already available. Please, check again.
Hello,
You can buy the ticket with the current passport number, and update it once you have the new one.
Hello,
It’s not necessary to get another ticket unless you want to take the panoramic photo (the one you see on the postcards), in which case you’ll need to buy the “Llaqta Machu Picchu” ticket.
What is blue number under entry time mean? Is that how many tickets are available
Hello,
If I purchase the Llaqta Machu Picchu 1,2,3, or 4” option, can I go any and all the circuits or do I have to choose one? I want to get the panoramic post card photo as well as the option to climb Huayna Picchu (circuit 4?), which ticket should I buy for that?
Appreciate your help! Thank you!
This is the MOST HELPFUL information I have found so far in the arrangements I’ve been making for our upcoming trip to Peru. Thank you so much!
Hello!
Correct, if you get Llaqta Machu Picchu 1,2,3, or 4, you can go to any of your preference (just one).
I suggest this ticket in case you want to get the panoramic photo.
If hiking Huayna Picchu, you’d need to get an extra ticket according to availability.
Hello,
Yes, that is correct. It shows the number of tickets available.
